Position Overview
This role as a Chemical Laboratory Technician is situated within our Inorganic Chemistry division, recognized for its high sample processing capacity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in the preparation and examination of samples utilizing colorimetric, gravimetric, and automated analysis techniques. Collaborate with your team to deliver accurate results, ensuring optimal outcomes for our clients, the environment, and the ecosystems we safeguard.
  • Work in a dynamic, well-lit, award-winning laboratory alongside fellow technicians at various experience levels, contributing to team results while also achieving personal milestones.
  • Collaborate with skilled team managers and leaders to navigate a structured progression scheme aimed at developing future senior technicians within Thames Water Laboratories.
  • Enhance your expertise and become proficient in your designated areas of work.
  • Adhere to quality management systems compliant with ISO/IEC 17025, including MCERTs and DWTS for specific methodologies.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Prior experience in a laboratory setting or possession of a relevant Science degree, or an A-Level in a science-related subject with a minimum grade of B/6 in Maths GCSE.
  • Ability to follow precise instructions and protocols to produce, document, maintain, and verify data within a highly regulated UKAS accredited laboratory.
  • Commitment to customer-centric service and a collaborative team approach to achieve exceptional results.
  • Comfortable with repetitive tasks and a genuine enthusiasm for laboratory work.
