Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and drive team performance, quality, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular team briefs and manage team skills matrix and training needs.
  • Oversee payroll approval and handle confidential documents.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including risk assessments and managing accidents/near-misses.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards and ensure compliance for audits.
  • Drive production plans, manage metrics, and prioritize tasks to meet production targets.
  • Monitor and improve performance issues, manage resources and overtime, and reduce non-conformance costs.
  • Deputize for the Production Manager and undertake other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Proactive in task prioritization to meet production targets and maximize productivity.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in lean/continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to use data to support decision-making and implement effective responses.
  • ILM Level 3 or equivalent required; ideally with HSE certification.
  • Demonstrable experience managing teams in an automotive assembly setting; start-up experience is a plus.
  • Clear and professional communicator, capable of conducting team briefs and holding team members accountable.
  • Strong understanding of quality standards and customer-focused quality practices.
  • Experience with ERP systems and proficient in Excel/Microsoft Office for KPI reporting.
  • Relevant automotive assembly manufacturing experience with knowledge of process flow and lean manufacturing.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and take responsibility for meeting production targets.
