Warehouse First Line Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Warehouse First Line Manager to join our team at Great Bear. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing warehouse operations to ensure seamless execution of our logistics processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for communication with the administration, stock, and management teams to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
  • Prepare and complete shift handover documents to ensure a seamless transition of information between shifts.
  • Manage the performance of warehouse operatives using warehouse management system tools.
  • Lead and motivate your team to ensure compliance with people processes and policies.
  • Develop and implement training plans to ensure the team has the necessary skills to meet operational requirements.
  • Ensure all compliance requirements are met, including key control, key logs, radio logs, scanner logs, and MHE pre-op check sheets.
  • Conduct regular safety and legal checks to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Assist with weekly customer updates as required.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a FLM or Senior WH Operative role, preferably in a fast-paced logistics/3PL environment.
  • Strong operational and people management skills.
  • Excellent computer skills with high attention to detail, and knowledge of WMS systems and SAP is an advantage.
  • Ability to motivate and empower others, while providing staff with development opportunities and coaching.
  • Adaptable and able to consult others and communicate proactively.
  • Ability to work in a systematic, methodical, and orderly way to consistently achieve project goals.
