Vocational Tutor - Health & Social Care

Ardwick (Fully office based)

Full-time Permanent

We are seeking a skilled Health and Social Care Tutor to deliver and train learners from Entry 3 to Level 2. The ideal candidate will have a teaching qualification (DTTLS, PTTLS) and a strong understanding of Ofsted standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote Courses and Recruit Learners
  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to ensure students are on the right program and receiving the right level of support
  • Develop and implement effective training programs, including schemes of work and lesson plans, tailored to individual needs
  • Utilize new technologies, such as SoL-VE and webinars/Skype, to enhance the learning experience and meet market demands
  • Deliver high-quality training that encourages learners to attend, stay on program, and achieve
  • Ensure the safe evacuation of students in the event of an emergency and maintain a safe learning environment
  • Prepare students for assignments or exams to maintain high success rates
  • Monitor and track student progress, including reviews, to ensure high achievement rates
  • Assess and provide feedback on student work, setting development objectives as needed
  • Moderate coursework and liaise with external moderators to ensure university and awarding body standards are met

Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
