About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Vocational Tutor to join our Education and Skills team at The Growth Company. As a Vocational Tutor, you will play a key role in developing, promoting, delivering, and assessing training programs to maximize learning outcomes for students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to ensure students are on the right program and receiving the right level of support.
  • Design and deliver high-quality training programs, taking into account individual requirements to ensure differentiation of learning.
  • Utilize new technologies, including learning management systems and webinars, to enhance the learning experience for students.
  • Manage the safe evacuation of students in the event of an emergency, following company procedures and ensuring health and safety protocols are followed.
  • Prepare students for assignments and exams, providing structured feedback and setting development objectives.
  • Act as a Programme Leader for specific awards, coordinating tutor resources, representing the team at exam boards, and evaluating program effectiveness.
About You
  • You possess excellent IT skills, including the ability to use technology to support learning delivery.
  • You are a motivating and inspiring individual with a flexible approach to work.
  • You have excellent communication skills and the ability to plan and organize your workload effectively.
  • You hold a teaching qualification, such as a PGCE, PGDE, Cert Ed, or DTLLS, and have relevant industry experience in your specialist area.
