Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Front Counters Assistant to provide exceptional customer service to the public and internal colleagues in a fast-paced police station environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the First Point of Contact: Ensure the safety and protection of victims of crime attending the police station.
  • Record Incidents and Crimes: Accurately record emergency and non-emergency incidents reported at the Front Counter in accordance with National Crime Recording Standards (NCRS).
  • Manage Incident Logs: Create, grade, and manage incident logs to appropriate resolution, alerting supervision of any serious incidents.
  • Process Evidence and Property: Process Evidence Related Property and return items to owners, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Provide Administrative Support: Collate information from people, record details of Court bail and Police bail, and handle and process monies/valuables received.
  • Produce Written Statements: Create accurate written statements for Court use.
  • Manage Visitor Access: Comply with security arrangements for the police station and manage visitor access.
  • Deploy Resources: Deploy resources to incidents using radio dispatch and oversee incident response.
Requirements
  • Customer Service Experience: Proven experience in providing customer advice in a busy environment on a variety of issues.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent listening, questioning, and interpersonal skills, with good oral communication.
  • Conflict Resolution: Experience in dealing with people in difficult or confrontational circumstances.
