Job Summary:

Serco is seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer to provide specialist electrical expertise and guidance to the operation of our Asylum Accommodation and Support Services Contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for attending to works related to the role and supporting non-trade Maintenance Operatives to fix faults.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend to works related to the role and support non-trade Maintenance Operatives to fix faults.
  • Provide specialist electrical expertise and guidance to the operation.
  • Work closely with the housing teams to ensure outstanding service to the users and complete all relevant electrical works and certification.
  • Report faults and defects to items of electrical plant and equipment and on a range of electrical systems.
  • Undertake the certification and installation/repairs to emergency systems.
  • Carry out PAT testing, inspect, test, and investigate the performance of the plant and equipment installed in the site.
  • Produce related reports and recommendations as may be required.
  • Assist the other members of the maintenance team with their activities as may be required.
  • Be a team member of the Facilities "Out of hours" call out roster.

Requirements:

  • A full Driving Licence is required.
  • C & G 2365 (17th Edition) qualification is required.
  • Qualified to C & G Electrical Installation Level 3 (5), (0) or equivalent.
  • Experience in Domestic Dwellings.
  • City & Guilds 2391 (Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations).
  • CRB Clearance and Security Clearance at CTC level (Counter Terrorism Check) is required.
