Job Title: Interpreter Translator Required in Dartford Kent

We are seeking a skilled Interpreter Translator to join our team at Language Empire in Dartford, Kent. As a freelance interpreter, you will have the opportunity to work with various clients across the UK, including the NHS, Local Authorities, Police, Probation, and other public and private organizations.

About the Role:

As an Interpreter Translator, you will be responsible for interpreting and translating languages for clients in various settings. Your duties will include:

  • Interpreting for individuals using legal, health, and local government services
  • Ensuring the non-English speaker's understanding after each sentence
  • Conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting
  • Dealing with highly confidential information
  • Liaising between the service user and service provider
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Fluent English and another language
  • The right to work in the UK
  • Be aged 21 or over
  • Formal qualifications such as a Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI), Community Interpreting, or a Degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages
