Paediatric Dietitian Specialist

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with our Paediatric Dietetic Team at Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust. The role will primarily involve providing acute dietetic care to children on the wards and in outpatient clinics, covering a variety of clinical conditions such as weight management, faltering growth, allergy, feeding difficulties, and special needs requiring nutritional support.
Main Responsibilities- Provide high-quality dietetic services to paediatric in-patients and out-patients, planning and prioritizing workload as part of a flexible team.
- Be responsible for hospital paediatric dietetic clinics, covering a range of clinical conditions.
- Contribute to ward rounds, multi-disciplinary team meetings, and case conferences as a specialist dietitian.
- Undertake nutritional assessments, analyzing and interpreting data to formulate individualized nutritional care plans.
- Monitor and assess nutritional care plans against outcome measures, adjusting plans to facilitate achievement of goals.
- Provide informative written reports to referrers and for meetings on treatment plans and progress of individual patients.
- Accurately record all assessments and interventions in medical, nursing, and dietetic notes, in line with Trust and departmental policy.
