Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment to improve plant operation and reliability.
  2. Develop and implement planned and preventative maintenance systems, including creating schedules and routines for shift-based teams.
  3. Plan and coordinate electrical engineering operations during plant shutdowns, including major maintenance activities.
  4. Contribute to annual and progressive plans for electrical maintenance budget control.
  5. Lead fault investigations for repeatable delays and failures, and define engineering solutions.
  6. Act as a subject matter expert for all failures, using in-depth knowledge to solve difficult engineering failures.
  7. Negotiate and manage key electrical maintenance contracts.
  8. Liaise with external suppliers and contractors to provide solutions to production and engineering challenges.
  9. Accountable for budgeting, forecasting, and receiving competitive quotes for all work to be undertaken.
  10. Develop plant to improve performance and reliability.
  11. Provide necessary documentation to cover all aspects of Health, Safety, and Environmental Control, including Permit Systems, Safe Working Procedures, Isolation/Immobilisation, and Environmental Management Systems.
  12. Provide a second-line maintenance service for plant breakdowns.
  13. Perform any other reasonable management requests.
