About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Mechanical Section Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring mechanical engineering management and standards are maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment to improve plant operation and reliability.
- Develop and implement planned and preventative maintenance systems, including scheduling and routines for shift-based teams.
- Plan and coordinate electrical engineering operations during plant shutdowns, including major maintenance activities.
- Contribute to annual and progressive plans for electrical maintenance budget control.
- Lead fault investigations for repeatable delays and failures, and define engineering solutions.
- Act as a subject matter expert for all failures, using in-depth knowledge to solve difficult engineering failures.
- Negotiate and manage key electrical maintenance contracts.
- Liaise with external suppliers and contractors to provide solutions to production and engineering challenges.
- Accountable for budgeting, forecasting, and receiving competitive quotes for all work to be undertaken.
- Develop the plant to improve performance and reliability.
- Provide necessary documentation to cover all aspects of Health, Safety, and Environmental Control.
- Provide a second-line maintenance service for plant breakdowns.
- Perform any other reasonable management requests.
