Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Recruit Engineering. As a key member of our design team, you will play a crucial role in designing and refining concepts and products using industry-standard tools such as SolidWorks and EPDM.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design marking systems for industrial applications with a focus on modularity, simplicity, and precision.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
  3. Create and maintain 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for manufacturing and installation.
  4. Produce technical documentation and operator manuals for designed systems.
  5. Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and ensure designs meet performance, cost, and compliance standards.
  6. Manage design projects from concept through to production.
Requirements:
  1. HND/Degree level qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design, particularly within industrial applications.
  3. Strong knowledge of SolidWorks 3D design package, including Enterprise PDM and DraftSight.
Desirable Skills:
  1. Experience with electromechanical controls (PLCs/PCs).
  2. Understanding of electrical engineering or electronics.
