Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Research Nurse to join our research delivery team at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality research studies, working closely with our research team and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Research Delivery: The post holder will be responsible for all aspects of research delivery, including screening, recruitment, and retention of clinical research subjects, as well as instructing subjects on treatment methods and protocol.
  2. Protocol Development: The successful candidate will participate in and coordinate the planning, development, and implementation of clinical protocols in accordance with research parameters.
  3. Data Collection and Management: The post holder will be responsible for undertaking appropriate data collection systems and procedures, specimen collection, processing, and recording of clinical data and/or specimen samples as required by established study protocol.
  4. Team Collaboration: The Senior Research Nurse will work closely with our research team, including Senior Research Nurses and research support staff, to ensure the smooth delivery of research studies.
Requirements
  1. Experience: The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing and research, with experience of working in a clinical research environment.
  2. Skills: The post holder will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  3. Qualifications: The successful candidate will hold a relevant nursing qualification and have a strong commitment to ongoing professional development.
