Research Nurse Specialist

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the operational management of gynaecology research studies, contributing to all aspects of the planning, conduct, and reporting of clinical research trials and studies, and ensuring that all clinical research activity is ICH GCP compliant and conducted in accordance with agreed protocols.
Key Duties- Support the operational management of gynaecology research studies, including patient recruitment and data collection.
- Contribute to the planning, conduct, and reporting of clinical research trials and studies, ensuring compliance with ICH GCP guidelines.
- Work closely with the research team to ensure the successful delivery of research projects, prioritizing tasks as necessary to meet recruitment targets.
- Ensure that all data is collected and managed effectively and accurately, maintaining a high standard of patient care in line with Trust and R&D procedures and protocols.
- Act as a focus for research communication within the Trust and with external partners, including the Clinical Research Network.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nursing, with experience of clinical research and a good understanding of research governance regulations and guidance. They will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
- Registered Nurse
- Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office/EDCL
- Good Clinical Practice training
- University Degree in healthcare-related field
- Postgraduate qualification in Nursing or Research
The following qualifications and experience are highly desirable:
- Experience of two years clinical nursing
- Experience of liaison with staff at all levels in the NHS, Universities, and Industry
- Supervision of research teams
- Experience of conducting or facilitating research or audit
- Experience of leading the development of research projects
- Experience of managing research projects
The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of clinical research, including methodologies, ethics, law, and drug development. They will also have knowledge and understanding of research governance regulations and guidance, as well as skills in administration of research and project management.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team. They will also be able to demonstrate a willingness to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.
