Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Procurement Specialist to join our team at Joseph Hughes Associates Ltd. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for overseeing all purchasing activities and ensuring that all materials, equipment, and services are acquired at the best possible price and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to meet project requirements and company objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers/vendors based on cost, quality, reliability, and delivery speed.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers/vendors to ensure timely delivery, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement.

  • Anticipate future procurement needs and ensure timely acquisition of materials and services.

  • Implement cost-effective purchasing strategies while maintaining quality standards.
  • Manage the entire procurement lifecycle, including contract drafting, review, and execution.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions, legal requirements, and company policies.
  • Identify potential risks and challenges related to procurement activities and develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Proactively address issues to minimize disruptions to project timelines and budgets.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Buyer, Procurement Manager, or similar role gained in a Process manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in contract management, supplier relationship management, and procurement software/tools.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • A Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
