We are committed to delivering exceptional services and are seeking a skilled Procurement Manager to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced Procurement Manager to lead our purchasing activities across 4 subsidiary businesses with annual revenue of over £175m per annum. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and directing the procurement of goods and services, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and driving initiatives to improve purchasing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with our business goals.
  2. Manage and direct the purchasing of goods and services across 4 subsidiary businesses.
  3. Identify and develop strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, service, and cost effectiveness.
  4. Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favourable agreements.
  5. Monitor supplier performance to ensure timely delivery, quality assurance, and adherence to contractual agreements.
  6. Analyse procurement spend and identify areas for cost savings and process improvements.
  7. Develop and manage procurement budgets, ensuring spend within approved limits.
  8. Implement best practices in procurement processes, reducing waste and inefficiencies.
  9. Draft, review, and approve contracts with suppliers, ensuring compliance with legal and Group requirements.
  10. Manage the renewal process for expiring contracts, ensuring continuity of supply.
  11. Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal policies and applicable regulations.
  12. Collaborate with various departments, including operations, finance, and legal, to ensure seamless procurement processes.
  13. Implement inventory management systems to track purchasing data and vendor performance.
  14. Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks, including supplier risks, price fluctuations, and supply chain disruptions.
  15. Develop contingency plans to deal with potential supply shortages or delays.
  16. Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team to ensure continuous improvement and capability development.
  17. Implement and monitor policies for responsible and sustainable procurement.
  18. Provide regular reports to senior management on procurement performance, cost savings, and key risks.
  19. Use data and analytics to monitor procurement trends and make informed decisions.

  6. Good IT skills and knowledge to implement and roll out innovative purchasing solutions.

What We Offer

Work Location

This role is based in Cardiff, with the possibility of working from other locations within our main business hubs.
