Job OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Advise all departments on health and safety matters, liaise with enforcement authorities, and respond accordingly.
- Review and update health and safety policies and procedures in line with changing legislation and business needs.
- Monitor health and safety performance, reviewing statutory reporting and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
- Ensure all managers and departments understand and comply with relevant health and safety legislation.
- Develop and implement suitable health and safety training for staff, ensuring they meet required standards.
- Conduct health and safety audits and inspections, ensuring compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and company procedures.
- Keep senior management and the board informed of policy changes and implement proactive processes to implement them.
- Attend annual health and safety audits conducted by external service providers.
- NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager in the care industry is desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and industry best practices.
