Key Responsibilities
Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a comprehensive exercise and educational program for individuals referred after a cardiovascular incident or diagnosis. This position entails managing a diverse caseload of patients from initial referral through to discharge, including assessing functional capacity and prescribing tailored exercise regimens for various complexities. Additionally, the role encompasses participation in a specialized weight management service, providing exercise guidance and assessments for individuals pursuing bariatric pathways.

Qualifications and Professional Training
Essential Requirements
- A minimum of a 2:1 BSc in Exercise Physiology or a closely related field.
Desirable Qualifications
- Evidence of postgraduate studies in relevant disciplines.
- Qualifications as an exercise instructor.
- Immediate Life Support certification.
- Membership in the British Association of Cardiac Prevention and Rehabilitation (BACPR).
- Capability to conduct Exercise Tolerance Testing for diagnostic and prescriptive purposes.
Experience and Knowledge
Essential Experience
- Proven experience in facilitating both group and individual exercise sessions for diverse patient populations.
- Experience in leading group educational sessions.
- Familiarity with the Nursing 6 C's.
- Up-to-date knowledge of national and local strategies aimed at reducing cardiovascular disease (CVD).
Desirable Experience
- Experience working in a cardiovascular rehabilitation environment.
- Experience managing a clinical caseload.
