About the Role
Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to work as a Ward Flow Coordinator. This is a full-time post working 4 days a week, including weekends.
Job Summary
We are looking for someone who can provide an excellent patient experience and has an enthusiasm for personal and service development within a clinical setting. The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team to support patient flow through the hospital and work with clinical teams to facilitate simple and complex discharges.
Main Responsibilities
- Work under the direction of the Ward Manager on the Acute Medical Unit and the Flow Team Leader.
- Manage an ever-changing fast-paced workload in a busy environment.
- Have excellent communication skills.
- Be IT literate.
- Be willing and keen to learn new skills.
- Be able to work well under pressure, with the ability to prioritize your own workload independently.
- Be approachable and open to an ever-changing work environment.

Person Specification
Essential
- GCSE's or A Levels.
- Experience in an acute healthcare setting or similar environment.
- Knowledge of Trust vision, values, strategic objectives, and key work programmes.
- Knowledge of the demands faced by the NHS.
Desirable
- Experience communicating with patients, families, and members of the MDT to facilitate complex discharges.
- IT skills.
- Ability to prioritize own workload.
