About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our client's kitchen team. As a key member of the culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes, ensuring exceptional customer service and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
  • Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure efficient service
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and stock control
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and implement new menu ideas and concepts

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume kitchen environment
  • Excellent culinary skills, with a focus on presentation and quality
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, with a focus on maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service
