Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Public Health Nurse to join our team at The Coastal Health District. As a Public Health Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing healthcare services to our clients and communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess Client Health Needs: Conduct comprehensive assessments of client health problems and needs to develop and implement effective care plans.
  • Provide Nursing Care: Administer nursing care to clients, including treatments, medications, and preventative/maintenance care.
  • Consult and Coordinate: Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate client care plans.
  • Monitor Client Care: Monitor all aspects of client care, including diet and physical activity.
  • Provide Education: Provide education to clients, families, and community service providers on health maintenance and disease prevention.
  • Provide Health Services: Provide healthcare, first aid, and immunizations to clients.
  • Provide School Health Services: Provide school-related health care services to clients.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
  • Licensure: Current Georgia license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse.
  • Certification: CPR certification.
  • Experience: One year of PHN experience or completion of a PHN course within one year of hire.
