We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Health Visiting Team as a Nurse Development Post. This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse who is considering applying to undertake a Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN) programme and wishes to develop their skills and gain experience of working within a Generic Health Visiting skill mix team.
Main Responsibilities- Deliver components of the Health Visiting Core programmes to families with pre-school children and the communities they live in, as delegated by the Health Visitor.
- Assess health needs and develop, implement, and evaluate programmes of care to meet the needs of the child and their family.
- Work collaboratively and in partnership with other disciplines and agencies to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals, families, and communities.
- Support the Baby Friendly Initiative, deliver health promotion advice, facilitate healthy baby clinics, complete delegated developmental assessments, and participate in training to support further learning.
- First-level registered nurse qualification.
- Evidence of ongoing education and professional development.
- Maintenance of professional development.
- Ability to travel between sites in a timely manner.
Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, and its bordering counties. Our 11,000 members of staff provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health, and learning disabilities services for around 384,000 people across a quarter of the landmass of Wales.
We do this in partnership with our three local authorities and public, private, and third sector colleagues, including our volunteers.
