About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Health Visiting Team as a Nurse Development Post. This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse who is considering applying to undertake a Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN) programme and wishes to develop their skills and gain experience of working within a Generic Health Visiting skill mix team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver components of the Health Visiting Core programmes to families with pre-school children and the communities they live in, as delegated by the Health Visitor.
  • Assess health needs and develop, implement, and evaluate programmes of care to meet the needs of the child and their family.
  • Work collaboratively and in partnership with other disciplines and agencies to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals, families, and communities.
  • Support the Baby Friendly Initiative, deliver health promotion advice, facilitate healthy baby clinics, complete delegated developmental assessments, and participate in training to support further learning.
Requirements
  • First-level registered nurse qualification.
  • Evidence of ongoing education and professional development.
  • Maintenance of professional development.
  • Ability to travel between sites in a timely manner.
