Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Specialist Substance Use Nurse, you will engage in supporting treatment for opiate substitutes, managing detoxification processes for alcohol and opiates, and advocating for the use of naloxone. You will collaborate with the nursing team to provide Blood Borne Virus screenings and vaccinations, working closely with mental health, physical health, and social care services. Your efforts will contribute to fostering a collaborative environment that connects our organization with external professionals and agencies.



Ideal Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will be a qualified nurse registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council. You will have access to resources that assist with revalidation, indemnity insurance, and ongoing support from the nurse manager and clinical lead. We seek a nurse who is passionate about engaging with individuals from diverse backgrounds, demonstrating empathy, understanding, and patience.
