About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Care Officer to join our team at Throstle Nest, a new children's home for children with learning disabilities and/or autism. As a Care Officer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to our young people, promoting their interests, education, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and supervise young people with learning disabilities and/or autism.
  • Link worker responsibilities, including writing care plans, link sessions, and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with multiple agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for our young people.
  • Work towards achieving the young person's care plan.
Requirements
  • Experience working with young people with autism or disabilities.
  • QCF Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or willingness to complete this.
  • Enthusiastic, solution-focused, and child-centered approach.
  • Must be a car driver with access to their own vehicle due to the location of the home.
