Care Team Leader

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Care Officer to join our team at Throstle Nest, a new children's home for children with learning disabilities and/or autism. As a Senior Care Officer, you will be responsible for leading and planning shifts, managing risks effectively, supervising and training staff, collaborating with multiple agencies, and making day-to-day decisions aligned with the young person's care plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and planning shifts to ensure the smooth operation of the home.
- Managing risks effectively to ensure the safety and well-being of the young people in our care.
- Supervising and training staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide high-quality care.
- Collaborating with multiple agencies to ensure the young people receive comprehensive support.
- Making day-to-day decisions aligned with the young person's care plan to ensure their needs are met.
Requirements:
- Experience working with young people with autism or disabilities.
- QCF Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
- Enthusiastic, solution-focused, and child-centered approach.
- Supervisory experience is beneficial but not essential.
- Must be a car driver and have access to their own car due to the location of the home.
