About the Role

We are seeking dedicated Care Officers to join the team at East Riding of Yorkshire Council, a leading provider of children's services. As a Care Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting and supervising young people with learning disabilities and/or autism in a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and supervise young people with learning disabilities and/or autism, promoting their interests, education, and overall well-being.
  • Link worker responsibilities, including writing care plans, link sessions, and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with multiple agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for young people.
  • Work towards achieving the young person's care plan, providing personal care and communicating effectively with young people who may be non-verbal.
Requirements
  • Experience working with young people with autism or disabilities.
  • QCF Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or willingness to complete this.
  • Enthusiastic, solution-focused, and child-centered approach.
  • Must be a car driver with access to their own car due to the location of the home.
