Role Overview:
The Hospitality Service Coordinator will assist the Hotel Operations Manager by providing support to the Food & Beverage team, managing schedules, and ordering supplies. The aim is to ensure the team is effectively upselling hotel services and products to meet budgetary goals and enhance the guest experience.
At Arena Racing Company, we seek individuals who are friendly, welcoming, and full of enthusiasm; those who strive to make every guest's experience memorable.
Responsibilities include assisting at the reception desk during check-in and check-out to ensure all Front of House operations are supported effectively.
The role also involves taking on Duty Manager shifts, overseeing the venue on non-racedays when senior management is unavailable. You will be the primary contact for any guest issues or inquiries.
Collaboration with the Wolverhampton Racecourse Management Team is essential to share standards and innovative ideas, maximizing the performance potential of both the racecourse and hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Hotel Operations Manager in monitoring budgets and controlling labor costs and expenses. Collaborate with the Front of House Manager and Food & Beverage team to boost revenue, particularly from non-resident guests. Develop strategies to enhance Food & Beverage revenue, focusing on increasing walk-ins and upselling in the restaurant and bar. Assist the Hotel Operations Manager with daily staffing needs, planning and assigning tasks, and setting performance goals for team members. Train and educate team members on compliance with local laws and health & safety regulations, ensuring they have the necessary tools and equipment. Ensure front of house staff deliver prompt service, professional attention, and personal recognition to guests. Greet guests upon arrival and engage effectively with them. Ensure the Food & Beverage team provides a consistent brand experience throughout the hotel from check-in to dining and departure. Troubleshoot and manage basic maintenance issues to guest satisfaction. Train team members on procedures and serve as a central communication point during emergencies.
