Coordinating Friendships Specialist

Age UK's Telephone Friendship Service is seeking a Coordinating Friendships Specialist to join our team. This role plays a vital part in coordinating and supporting matches between our members and volunteers across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and support the thousands of matches between our members and volunteers
  • Ensure safeguarding measures are upheld and support members and volunteers through the onboarding processes
  • Provide excellent customer service skills, answering emails and calls, and communicating with volunteers and members
  • Work with a hybrid model of home and office-based working, with regular travel to our offices in Blackpool and Ashburton
  • Work a 35-hour working week, 5 days out of 7, with start and end times between 8am and 6pm, including weekend and bank holiday shifts
Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills and a confident and friendly telephone manner
  • A passion for supporting older people and a good understanding of their needs
  • The ability to work flexibly and manage a busy workload
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office, and a commitment to promoting equality and diversity
  • A positive team player with a commitment to safeguarding adults at risk and children from abuse and neglect
