We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Procurement Specialist to join our team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a vital role in driving forward our waste reduction programmes, compliant contracting, and supporting our sustainable and social economic agenda.
The successful candidate will have relevant purchasing experience within a private or public sector organisation and be a member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) or currently in the process of achieving full membership. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across Greater Manchester.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a proactive, efficient, and responsive procurement service, with particular emphasis on procuring value for money products and services contracts.
- Generate non-pay savings for the Trust in accordance with cost efficiency targets.
- Adhere to Procurement legislation and Trust Standing Financial Instructions, whilst awarding robust, compliant contracts with relevant and manageable KPI's.
- Support CALM (Capital, Assets, Leasing and Maintenance) across all MFT sites, including the capital purchase, leasing, and maintenance of all medical equipment.
