About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Examiner to join our team at Pearson. As an Examiner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of our GCSE English Language marking process.
Key Responsibilities
- Mark candidates' responses in accordance with our pre-defined mark scheme, while adhering to our conditions of recognition and examination procedures.
- Submit samples to your Team Leader at designated times to ensure overall standards are maintained.
- Ensure milestones for marking are adhered to, and all administration is completed as specified.
Requirements
- You will have one academic year's worth of teaching experience within the last 8 years, within the relevant qualification subject, or since qualifying as a teacher.
- You will have a degree or equivalent, and be a qualified teacher.
- You will have the ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and possess a high level of subject knowledge to apply the mark scheme.
