About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Examiner to join our team at Pearson. As a Principal Examiner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our GCSE English Language assessments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the timely delivery of assessments and maintain high standards of quality assurance.
  • Lead and participate in standardisation and moderation activities to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain mark schemes and guidance materials.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and address any issues or concerns.
  • Provide training and support to Examiners and Moderators.
  • Monitor and report on assessment performance and quality.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in quality assurance and assessment practice.
  • History of moderation and/or marking a regulated qualification.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to provide and coordinate training and support.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the specification for GCSE English Language.
