About the Role

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the technical integration of flexible assets into our Ecotricity Smart Grid Virtual Power Plant (VPP). As a key member of our Smart Grid team, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless onboarding and management of assets, working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Asset Integration and Onboarding
    • Establish EcoLink connections for new assets
    • Work closely with planning, construction, and operations teams
    • Assess interface requirements for new Grid services
  • Asset Management and Liaison
    • Advise VPP Growth Officer on asset suitability for Ancillary Services
    • Understand technical requirements of National Grid ancillary services
    • Develop methods of control and monitoring to deliver services
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Engage with Development team to develop service requirements
    • Maintain accurate asset state data
    • Contribute to strategy development for the team
    • Attend relevant internal and external meetings
    • Research emerging flexible technologies and potential new services
