About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team at ATS Recruitment. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth and identifying new market opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform business development strategies.
  • Develop and implement a robust business development plan that aligns with the company's overall objectives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, potential clients, and industry partners.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop campaigns, promotional materials, and digital content that target new and existing markets.
  • Lead and manage the bid and tender process from inception to submission, ensuring that proposals are competitive and compelling.
  • Work closely with technical teams to gather necessary information for tenders and ensure that client requirements are met.
  • Develop winning strategies for tenders by analysing client needs, industry trends, and competitors.
  • Ensure timely submission of high-quality bids and manage post-tender clarifications and negotiations.
  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with new and existing clients to foster long-term partnerships.
  • Work closely with the sales team to convert leads into clients and ensure a smooth handover for project delivery.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and exhibitions to represent and expand the company's network.
  • Report regularly to the Managing Director on business development activities, market trends, and performance against targets.
  • Set, track, and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) for business growth and client acquisition.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in business development, preferably within the land survey, geospatial, construction, or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of market analysis, sales strategies, and tender management.
  • Demonstrable success in identifying and penetrating new markets.
  • Experience managing and leading a marketing team or function.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Commercially astute with the ability to think strategically.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and other business development tools.
