Operational Excellence Manager - Senior Leadership Role
Location: Site Based
Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 + Car Allowance + Package
The Advocate Group is proud to partner with a leading business in the FMCG sector, committed to continuous growth and improvement. We are seeking an experienced Operational Excellence Manager to drive the delivery of a manufacturing vision and strategy through continuous improvement, waste reduction, and variability elimination.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of lean manufacturing practices, including 5S, AM, and root cause analysis, to drive continuous improvement
- Develop and manage the operational excellence timetable, focusing on medium to long-term goals
- Conduct detailed gap analysis across site processes and performance to identify areas for improvement
- Develop and enhance the technical and behavioral skills of the Senior Leadership Team to foster a culture of continuous improvement
- Facilitate and lead projects to reduce factory costs and optimize resource utilization
General Responsibilities
- Implement lean manufacturing practices and drive continuous improvement across the site
- Understand and apply the Princes Manufacturing System (PMS) and Site Must Win Battle Plan
- Uphold company values to improve Quality, Safety, and Environmental culture
- Support the company's ethical trading and human rights vision in all stakeholder engagement
Requirements
- Experience at Senior Leadership Team (SLT) level and managing a team
- Proven track record in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement projects (5S, VSM, TPM, SMED, Kaizen, OEE)
- Experience within FMCG or across manufacturing at volume
- Excellent interpersonal skills to establish relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to motivate, mentor, and engage teams to adopt new skills and operational practices
- Strong leadership, team building, coaching, and development skills
