About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safeguarding Nurse to join our dynamic team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust. As a Safeguarding Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people within our Trust.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in safeguarding children and young people, with experience of working in a clinical setting. You will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance to healthcare professionals on safeguarding matters, as well as contributing to the development and delivery of high-quality safeguarding training programs across the Trust.

You will be a registered 1st Level Nurse on the NMC register, with evidence of professional/clinical knowledge in safeguarding supplemented by specialist training. You will also have a recognized teaching/training qualification and experience of attending safeguarding strategies/case conferences/participating in protection plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to healthcare professionals on safeguarding matters
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality safeguarding training programs across the Trust
  • Attend safeguarding strategies/case conferences/participating in protection plans
  • Provide support and supervision to staff in safeguarding matters
Requirements
  • Registered 1st Level Nurse on the NMC register
  • Evidence of professional/clinical knowledge in safeguarding supplemented by specialist training
  • Recognized teaching/training qualification
  • Experience of attending safeguarding strategies/case conferences/participating in protection plans
