Role Overview: This is a site-based position in Cambridge. The successful candidate will manage the entire production lifecycle, from customer orders and program planning to material supply and production progress, ensuring that customer expectations are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and oversee production tasks to safeguard TAKT, including the processing of necessary documentation.
  • Assume planning ownership of a program stream and manage its key inputs to the Master Production Schedule.
  • Coordinate with other internal program streams to ensure synchronized planning and adherence to operational plans for timely loading and unloading.
  • Monitor, compile, and report performance metrics through a KPI deck as established by the Production Support Manager.
  • Mitigate risks associated with material shortages.
  • Maintain shop order accuracy to ensure correct MRP demand for supply chain activities.
  • Control production expenses while upholding quality standards.
  • Oversee the execution of shop orders to ensure offload dates are met.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete shop orders on schedule and within customer specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations at all times.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience in a Production Planning or Manufacturing Engineering environment.
  • Proven experience in an MRP setting is essential.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities, with a knack for identifying issues and proposing effective solutions.
  • Technical proficiency in MRP/ERP systems.
  • Analytical mindset with a process-oriented approach.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills with various stakeholders.
  • Able to respond swiftly and seek process improvements.
  • Strong prioritization skills.
