Swansea, City and County of Swansea, United Kingdom Swansea Bay University Health Board Full time

Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and approachable individual to join the Swansea Bay Paediatric Physiotherapy team. This role involves assisting the Paediatric Physiotherapy team with both administrative responsibilities and clinical tasks, specifically aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the children's community service.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational abilities, effective communication skills, and excellent time management. While there are set hours to cover during the week, there is flexibility regarding the working schedule.

It is crucial for applicants to have the capability to travel between various Health Board locations as needed. Previous experience working with children in a healthcare support capacity, whether in a hospital, community, or social care environment, or as a fitness instructor, is required.

Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct assessments and implement agreed treatment plans for individual clients/patients, supported by relevant experience and qualifications (such as NVQ Level 3 in Care, Physiotherapy Support Worker Diploma, or equivalent physiotherapy competencies).

2. Assist physiotherapists in the assessment and treatment of patients within the Paediatric Physiotherapy framework.

3. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team at Hafan-y-Mor, which includes a team lead, clinical specialist physiotherapists, technical instructors, and administrative support, to ensure equitable and timely service delivery for the Swansea Bay Health Board community.

4. Engage with a supportive team environment that utilizes advanced equipment, including a sensory room, gym, and rebound room.
