Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Paediatric Physiotherapy team as a Technical Instructor. The successful candidate will provide administrative and clinical support to the team, with a focus on the efficient running of our children's community service at Hafan-y-Mor Children's Centre.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess and undertake agreed treatment programmes with individual clients/patients underpinned by appropriate experience/knowledge.
  • Support physiotherapists working within Paediatric Physiotherapy and in the assessment and treatment of patients.
  • Collaborate with the community physiotherapy team to ensure equitable and timely provision of services for the population of Swansea Bay Health Board area.

Requirements
  • Previous experience of working with children with complex needs.
  • Evidence of MDT working.
  • Ability to use word processing/excel/clinical systems.
  • Understanding of normal childhood development.
  • Evidence of work-based learning Agored/competencies.
  • NVQ level 3 in relevant subject (child).
  • Ability to therapeutically handle children/YP of all ages and abilities in various postures.
  • Ability to demonstrate evidence of problem solving.
Desirable Skills
  • Evidence of training others in exercise-type programmes.
  • Ability to speak Welsh.
