Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Housekeeper to join our team at Medway NHS Foundation Trust. As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our wards and departments, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our patients and staff.

Main Responsibilities
  • Carry out cleaning duties safely and effectively, adhering to NHS National Standards
  • Perform hostess duties safely and effectively, in accordance with Trust Catering Policies and Environmental Standards
  • Assist nursing staff during managed meal times with portioning and plating food from food trolleys
  • Prepare and deliver ward stores and supplies to wards and departments
  • Report details of faults and failures of electrical equipment/fabric of the building to Team Leader or Ward Manager
Person Specification
  • NVQ level 1 in Support Services or equivalent level of working experience
  • Good knowledge of customer care
  • Knowledge of cleaning practices and infection control regulations
  • Knowledge of food service/catering
