A challenging opportunity has arisen for a Relief Receptionist to join our team at Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our front desk team, you will provide a professional and efficient service to patients and visitors, ensuring a positive experience for all.
Main Responsibilities- Provide a warm and welcoming check-in experience for patients and their families, managing expectations during busy periods.
- Ensure confidentiality and maintain strict adherence to data protection policies.
- Manage patient records, filing reports and correspondence in accordance with hospital procedures.
- Reconcile clinics and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Undertake administrative duties associated with patient discharge and transfer, including booking follow-up appointments and ensuring the safe return of case notes.
- Answer telephones, receive and relay messages, and perform ad hoc messenger duties as required.
- Demonstrate a flexible approach to departmental duties and be proactive in escalating any concerns to line management.
- GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent)
- OCR II keyboard skills (or equivalent)
- Previous reception experience, including dealing with telephone enquiries and general public
- Experience of working flexibly as part of a team and data input
- Computer literacy and good communication skills
- ECDL qualification
- Previous admin experience in a healthcare setting
- Ability to prioritize workload and work under pressure
- Experience of patient administration system Careflow
- Numerate and literate
