About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst to join our team at the BES Group. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in supporting all FP&A activities and working closely with senior stakeholders to achieve a consistent level of high performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ad-hoc value-added analysis to support business decision-making
  • Reporting and presenting financial information to senior stakeholders using Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
  • Maintaining and updating the business model, including the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
  • Supporting the FP&A Manager with budgeting and forecasting cycles
  • Improving reporting processes and ensuring documented procedures for key recurring tasks
  • Providing critical support to ensure reporting is 'value-added' and focuses on challenging and evaluating financial information
  • Contributing to ad-hoc projects to improve the business model and investigate alternatives to Excel-based modeling
  • Supporting business case Capex reviews and IT Opex requests
  • Assisting with new acquisitions and ensuring their results are accurately reflected in budgets and forecasts
  • Producing accurate group Board reports in line with deadlines
  • Contributing to the delivery of a high-performing, best-practice finance team
  • Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes and systems and implementing changes
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with finance colleagues and senior managers
Requirements
  • CIMA, ACA, or ACCA (or equivalent) qualified
  • Experience of preparing accurate and timely Board reports
  • Experience presenting to senior-level stakeholders
  • Extensive experience using Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, particularly pivots, sumifs, index match, lookups, and financial modeling techniques
  • Experience supporting ad-hoc insight requests
  • Experience of budget and forecast cycles
  • Experience maintaining process documentation for key recurring tasks
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present financial information to senior stakeholders in a clear, concise, and confident manner
  • Strong technical, numeracy, and analytical skills, with a desire to learn new technical and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail and enthusiasm to challenge and improve processes
  • Ability to build strong internal relationships with finance and non-finance colleagues
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritize workloads
  • Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Bachelor's Degree - minimum 2:1 (desirable)
