Risk Management Specialist

Robert Walters UK is seeking a highly skilled Technology Risk and Control Specialist to join their team in London. As a key member of the Chief Controls Office (CCO), you will play a crucial role in improving the oversight of non-financial risks and driving best practices in control standards.
The successful candidate will have experience in Internal Audit, control remediation, and audit validation, with a strong understanding of Technology delivery within Financial Services. They will also have knowledge of regulatory engagement and executive-level requirements.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Improving the oversight of non-financial risks and bringing risk and control subject matter expertise to partner with business owners.
- Providing cross-functional oversight and driving best practices in control standards.
- Developing and implementing a consistent, effective, and efficient approach to risk control.
- Leading Technology's engagement with Audit and liaising with 2LOD Risk and Compliance.
- Supporting the identification, assessment, and remediation of risks and controls.
- Reviewing remediation plans and ensuring risks are sufficiently addressed.
- Contributing to risk appetite statements and emerging risk.
- Reviewing Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and escalating breaches as required.
The ideal candidate will have 2LOD/3LOD experience and be looking to move into 1LOD, or have 1LOD control experience with a strong understanding of Technology delivery within Financial Services.
