Highway Structures Inspector

We are seeking a skilled Highway Structures Inspector to contribute to the safety and integrity of highway structures across the UK.

Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough inspections of highway structures in accordance with the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges.
- Record and report on all inspections, utilizing Structures Management System in accordance with the CSS Bridge Condition Index system.
- Analyze bridge structure defects in construction materials such as steel and concrete.
- Understand the importance of efficient reporting of defects that have the potential to reduce capacity and performance.
- Document defects on site and report via online structural management systems.
- Experience in Civil Engineering with particular relevance to inspection and maintenance of highway structures assets.
- Sound technical understanding of construction materials and forms.
- Experience in the management and maintenance of trunk or local road network.
- Demonstrable experience in a relevant discipline, preferably involving work of a structural or building nature.
- Full valid UK driving licence.
