About the Role:
Carrington West is seeking a highly skilled NRSWA Inspector to join our client's Street Works team on a contract basis. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for undertaking systematic and ad-hoc inspections of highways works, ensuring compliance with the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 and the Highways Act 1980.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake site inspections to investigate street works, highway licenses, and potential infringements of the highway network.
- Proactively identify non-compliant sites and work with the team to resolve any issues.
- Collaborate with the Network Manager and other team members to ensure effective management of the highway network.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of relevant legislation and regulations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience undertaking NRSWA inspections in a similar urban environment.
- Strong knowledge of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 and the Highways Act 1980.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
