About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Therapeutic Support Worker to join our team at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Psychological Skills Service, you will play a vital role in delivering skills-based brief psychological interventions to individuals in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build relationships with clients to promote a sense of safety and well-being.
  • Deliver and teach psychological skills, including anxiety management, low mood, graded exposure, and hearing voices.
  • Support clients to make their own choices and identify recovery goals that are important to them.
  • Assist with increasing connections in the community, reducing feelings of isolation, and promoting independent living skills.
  • Facilitate group interventions with clinicians and complete relevant letters and reports.
Requirements
  • Previous knowledge or experience of delivering brief psychological skills is an advantage.
  • Ability to travel independently around the county and hold a full UK driving licence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work within a legal framework and assess patient understanding of treatment proposals.
