About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Therapeutic Support Worker to join our team at Cambridgeshire & Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Psychological Skills Service, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality support to individuals who have experienced complex trauma.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build strong relationships with clients, promoting a sense of safety and well-being through modelling of attention to safety.
  • Deliver and teach psychological skills, including anxiety management, low mood, graded exposure, and hearing voices, to support individuals in the stabilisation phase of recovering from complex trauma.
  • Support clients to identify and achieve their recovery goals, using empowerment skills to promote independence and self-efficacy.
  • Collaborate with clinicians to facilitate group interventions and support work, including increasing connections in the community, reducing feelings of isolation, and promoting independent living skills.
  • Complete relevant letters and reports related to interventions delivered.
