Stroke Physiotherapist Specialist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Physiotherapist to join our Stroke team at the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Physiotherapist in Stroke, you will have the opportunity to rotate between the Hyper-acute and Stroke rehabilitation in-patient services, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to enable the best possible outcomes for patients.
Main Duties- Undertake advanced assessment and treatment of stroke patients with complex and/or chronic presentations.
- Develop specialist treatment plans and provide rehabilitative input, maintaining records as an autonomous practitioner.
- Contribute to data collection for local and national audits.
- Lead assessment, liaison, and decision-making processes for patients.
- Undertake a significant clinical caseload to a high professional standard, utilizing specialist stroke knowledge.
- Support the team lead and service manager in planning, coordination, and evaluation of the MSK Physiotherapy Service.
- Deputize for the Band 7 in their absence and attend meetings as required.
- Work across 7 days, contributing to weekend working and the respiratory on-call rota.
- Supervise and teach more junior members of the team and students on placement.
