Stroke Physiotherapist Specialist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our outstanding Stroke team at the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust. You will have the opportunity to rotate between the Hyper-acute and Stroke rehabilitation in-patient services, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to enable the best possible outcomes for patients.
Main Duties- To work within the In-Patient Stroke Physiotherapy Service clinical setting, undertaking advanced assessment and treatment of stroke patients with complex and/or chronic presentations.
- To develop specialist treatment plans and provide rehabilitative input, maintaining records as an autonomous practitioner.
- To contribute to data collection for local and national audits, leading assessment, liaison, and decision-making processes for patients.
- To undertake a significant clinical caseload to a high professional standard, using specialist stroke knowledge from theoretical and practical experience.
- To support the team lead and service manager in planning, co-ordination, and evaluation of the MSK Physiotherapy Service, covering for any other area with this specific caseload as necessary.
- To deputise for the Band 7 in their absence and attend meetings as required.
- To supervise and teach more junior members of the team and students on placement.
