About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Greenway Junior School. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher and the SENCo in the teaching and welfare of our children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the classroom and during activities
  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons to meet the needs of children with SEN
  • Work closely with the SENCo to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for children with SEN
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to children with SEN to help them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential
  • Collaborate with other professionals, including teachers, therapists, and support staff, to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to supporting children with SEN
Requirements
  • Experience working with children with SEN in a school setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to providing high-quality support to children with SEN
