Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Speech and Language Consultant, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of communication needs across various settings.
- Implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to individual requirements.
- Setting functional communication goals and providing actionable recommendations to enhance daily communicative success.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a cohesive therapeutic approach.
- Responding to referrals and maintaining an inclusive communication environment.
- Conducting audits and ensuring adherence to established communication standards.
- Contributing to the development and enhancement of service delivery.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A degree or postgraduate diploma in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).
- Registration with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experience working with individuals with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism Spectrum Disorders.
- Familiarity with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) methods is preferred.
